Bail Bond Process

Learn About the Bail Bond Process

When you apply for a bail bond at Lidia Aulen Bail Bonds to seek the release of a loved one from jail till his or her court hearing, you'll be asked to provide information on the arrestee. The individual's name, date of birth, and county information will be recorded. Our experts will only deal with the indemnitor or defendant during the course of the arrestee's trial, as our file will remain confidential.

Please understand that the process of applying for and posting bail bonds varies with different counties in Florida. Some are able to fast track the process while others take several hours. That being said, no bail bond agency has the provision to speed up the release process.

Now, once the expert has all the necessary information pertaining to the defendant, the process can be initiated. If you are the indemnitor, it is imperative that only you fill out the required bond forms. You may even have to visit the local office for further formalities.

The defendant will be released after the bail bond has been posted and will need to complete some additional paperwork. Once all formalities are complete, the defendent will be released from custody. Please keep in mind that until the court case has been resolved and the bail bond is discharged, it is the responsibility of the indemnitor and the bond agency to ensure that the defendant appears in court when ordered to do so.

Once the trial is over and the bond agency receives a discharge order from the court along with the complete payment of the bond, any collateral submitted by the indemnitor for the term of the bond will be returned.
